An Icon, Refined
Logo redesign for Zonars, a landmark restaurant in historic Athens, originally established in August 1939 at the corner of Panepistimiou and Voukourestiou streets.
Revived by brothers Spyros and Chrysanthos Panas, the space regains its cultural significance as a meeting point for gastronomy, art, and Athenian life. The redesign respects the original vintage typeface, subtly refined to enhance clarity and elegance, while the addition of a secondary line introduces balance and depth.
A desaturated color palette defines the broader identity, applied across menus with fabric-bound hard covers and embossed gold detailing. Stationery follows the same direction, combining white surfaces with delicate gold accents.
The result is a timeless identity that honors the restaurant’s legacy while introducing a contemporary and refined visual expression.
